The mystery convention Boucheron and Crimespree Magazine are hosting a 2011 Bouchercon Short Fiction Contest
The contest is open to all unpublished writers under the age of 18 at the time of submission. Stories must be less than 5,000 words, take place in St. Louis and contain a mention of BBQ .
Entries are due by May 1.
Crimespree editors will narrow the submissions down to five finalists, which will be reviewed by a group of authors and one winner will be chosen.
The winner will be published in the program book, which is distributed to every Bouchercon attendee, and will receive $100 and two complimentary Bouchercon 2011 passes.
