Selah Salon and DaySpa, located at 1424 Washington Ave., will hold a “Giving Back2School” informal fashion show benefit and open house on Friday, August 12, from 5:30-9 p.m. to raise money and give backpacks containing school supplies to families who are in need at the Saint Louis Charter Academies and Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club.
The event will include fashions by Peses, Annata’s Vintage Apparel, MacroSun and others modeled by Selah’s own clientele. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served, and each guest will receive a $10 gift certificate toward Selah Salon and Spa services.
Admission will require a gift of $45 or the donation of a school backpack, which is available already filled with the necessary materials at OfficeMax for just $35. The store is located at the corner of Chippewa and Kingshighway. All donations and proceeds will go to the “Giving Back2School” Program.
