SLU Medical School provides community service Saturday afternoons

With the start of another school year quickly approaching, many children need physical examinations and immunizations in order to return to school. The Health Resource Center in Hamilton Heights will be open on Saturday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. through September 24 to provide health care services for children. Physical exams, immunizations, and laboratory tests will be performed by Saint Louis University medical students and faculty physicians.

If you are not familiar with the Health Resources Center, it is a clinic staffed entirely by faculty and students from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. All services for patients are provided free of charge. This clinic is located behind Saint Augustine Catholic Church on 1371 Hamilton Avenue. It has been serving residents of the Hamilton Heights Neighborhood and surrounding areas since 1994.

Health Resource Center sees patients on a first come, first served basis, so they should plan to arrive at the clinic early.
