Support-A-Child, Inc. is hosting its annual anniversary celebration in effort to raise $25,000 to benefit at-risk children on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 7-10 p.m. at 1509 Washington Ave. Tickets are $50. Donations will supporting three programs geared to giving disadvantaged children and youth the skills and confidence to grow and become productive members of their communities.
The programs are Healthy Futures, geared towards teaching children the benefits of healthy living and nutrition; Project Change, which teaches adolescent children conflict resolution and character development; and Exodus to Excellence, a tutorial and cultural enrichment program open to all children.
