Annie Malone Children & Family Service Center has volunteer opportunities available during the 2006 May Day events and activities.
The BBQ May 12 offers two different locations for volunteers to help. The 8th Annual Benefit BBQ & Community Fair will take place between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. at 2612 Annie Malone Drive. The BBQ Cook-Off, new to the list of events, will take place between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Kiener Plaza.
The May Day Activities culminate with the Annual May Day Parade May 21, beginning at 1 p.m., between 20th and Market. Volunteers are needed to serve as parade marshals, to set up barricades, to direct parade goers and collect information for the center’s history project.
Funds raised from May Day Activities will benefit Annie Malone Children & Family Service Center.
