Beginning March 30, Women’s Support and Community Services, 2165 Hampton Ave., will offer an eight-week support group for women from 6-7 p.m. The group will offer women a safe, supportive environment in which to share experiences about being a woman. The group is free and completely confidential; however, you must be pre-registered in order to attend.
Women’s Support and Community Services is a non-profit agency that offers counseling, support groups, and classes for women 18 and older who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual assault or childhood sexual abuse. Individual counseling is also available on a sliding fee scale. Support groups on topics such as building healthy relationships and healing through art, along with classes such as anger management, are offered free of charge. The agency provides a 24-hour crisis line for emotional support and referrals.
