With 11 people running for the St. Louis School Board, I am writing to say that Flint Fowler is at the head of the class. Mr. Fowler will bring integrity, experience and commitment to a very difficult job.
I first got to know Mr. Fowler when he was the managing director of INROADS/St. Louis, Inc. INROADS is a program dedicated to mentoring minority students in education and job skills while placing them in career internship programs. For the last nine years Mr. Fowler has been the executive director of Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club. In total, Mr. Fowler has spent more than 25 years as a youth development professional. He knows how to work with children, and, most importantly, he knows how to motivate children to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
As a product of the St. Louis Public Schools and as an independent thinker, Mr. Fowler is the right person to restore the public trust in our public schools.
