Regarding test administration in the Wellston School District, from the Missouri State Board of Education I heard words like “irregularities” and “unauthorized collaborations,” which points to cheating, which the state admits it can’t prove. From the district I heard words like “politically motivated” and “unfairness to poor black kids.” From politicians, I heard politicking to protect votes.
Test scores or not, I do know that when only one student from the 2004 Class was able to pass the ACT test, that’s not being on the way up.
I guess I have my own agenda. I urge the state board to rid the students of the current leadership and appoint a temporary superintendent and two board members as state law permits.
