I liked Alvin A. Reid‘s article on Meacham Park. I had never even heard of the St. Louis American. Someone posted your article in Sylvester Brown’s
forum; that is where I learned about it.
I am not a fan of Mr. Brown’s. He makes everything a race issue. I do not believe he is a good representative of African Americans. Then again, I am white, so maybe I take his comments the wrong way.
I read the St. Louis American, and it is a great paper. From what I read, more whites need to read it. I found most of the articles to be positive. It proves the point I have been trying to make to Mr. Brown. The majority of whites, blacks, Hispanic, etc., all want the same things: a decent quality of life, a crime-free neighborhood, better education for their children.
