Bernie Hayes‘ recent column about St. Louis’ rich heritage of African-American disc jockeys is also a tribute to Mr. Hayes. He has devoted much time and energy to preserving this part of St. Louis history and making the information available to all of us. His commitment to keeping this heritage alive through the pages of the American is to be commended. Every city needs a Bernie Hayes.
