This is Ebony Eyez. I’m not in the STL right now, but I have gotten lots of phone calls to check out Partyline on the internet. Which I did. I wanted to correct a few things that were in the article.

As far as no one contacting you guys about what’s going on, that couldn’t be futher from the truth. Terry Holt, who was my publicist for the party, set up a media event Monday night, October 3 at the Chase and invited you guys. She said she told Bill Beene. At the media event, everybody got a bag of goodies and inside was the album. So that’s why you guys did not have a copy – because no one showed up.

I do appreciate all that you guys have done for me, and you definitely were one of the first to support me. I hope in the future we have better communication and that this doesn’t deter you guys from supporting me. Peace b until.

Editor’s note: Terry Holt called the paper Monday at 3 p.m. to invite us to a party that evening. We don’t operate on such short notice. Nor was it explained to us that our review copy would be available only at this event. Other artists and their publicists – not to mention the postal service – know how to find our office. Finally, the Post-Dispatch review of Seven Day Cycle ran Tuesday morning. We cast professional doubt on the suggestion that the Everyday section of the Post was held up Monday night until the pop critic returned home from the party, listened to the record and wrote his review. This paper’s feeling of undeservedly receiving B-list treatment regarding this CD release – and its support, regardless, for talented local artists such as yourself – both remain intact.
