I have been involved in putting together job training programs over the past couple of years and most of our participants seem to have felony convictions. After completing the programs, we have a hard time matching them up with employers. Even after speaking with potential employers and letting them know the population we are serving, they seem to go back on their word. Do you have any answers for this population of people, and is there any suggestion or research that might give information on where, who or how a felon may become employed?
