I am the fashion merchandising and design instructor at Vashon High School featured this past week. Whenever the “Clothesline” is featured, I read it and cut it out for my fashion students to read. I believe that the St. Louis American needs a regular, separate section dedicated only to fashion, with a bona fide fashion editor, to provide fashion (and beauty) information to our community every week. This person could be someone who my fashion students can identify with, look up to, and seek out for encouragement and support. I inform my students that being a fashion editor for a newspaper or magazine is a viable fashion career option.
