What a sad day for the American yesterday with the spurious, vicious character assassination of Bill Purdy along with nasty barbs directed at Veronica O’Brien and Peter Downs. What drives a newspaper so many rely on to resort to allowing hate to embrace its editorial page?
What makes a school board election important enough to provide an opportunity for innuendo and hate as exemplified in Demetrious Johnson’s editorial? I am ashamed to be part of a community where and if such hatred is condoned.
