I watched your debate with Claire McCaskill last night. I am an evangelical, conservative Christian, a fellow Presbyterian, pro-life, and an independent voter. Thus far, I have voted for you in each election in which you have been a candidate that included my district.
Your opening statement in which you attacked, maligned and perhaps slandered McCaskill and her family pained me greatly. As a fellow Christian, I blushed with chagrin, as I considered members of other faiths and unbelievers witnessing a Christian treating another person in a public, contemptible fashion. Her response can only be described as the “high road” by choosing not to attack you as a person or any of your family members.
I now question if I can vote for someone who resorts to character assassination.
Jesus Christ said we cannot serve two masters. I sense you allowed the Republican Party to win out over your allegiance to Jesus Christ last night. Winning a Senate seat at any cost is very costly.
