One may call Melinda Long’s attempt to regain the 21st Ward Alderman seat “feeble,” as did the Political Eye, but at least Long tried to return “Fair and Honest Leadership” to the 21st Ward. Bennice Jones-King’s campaign spent the most $$, so she won. Like the old folks say, “The Devil and money go hand-in-hand.”
I have no hope for the 21st Ward residents. They are led by a woman, riddled with corruption, who secretly lives in North County. Less than 25 percent of 21st Ward registered voters came out and voted. If they did, they would have seen how Long was the ONLY candidate that endorsed Irene Smith on her sample ballot.
