I attended the lifetime achievement award dinner where Earl Wilson brought in Don King, Evander Holyfield, Robert Townsend and many more. They all showed up here in St. Louis we had a great time, and I was very glad my daughter and I attended.
Recently I had the opportunity once again to take my daughter to another awards show, The Metro Sentinel “Yes I Can” Banquet. Awardees were Nelly, Cory Spinks, Tony Davis, Kevin Cunningham, Larry Williams and John H. Windom. Nelly, Cory, Kevin and Tony were not in attendance, while Cory did call to accept his award.
Metro Sentinel, you should have made sure these stars were going to be in attendance, not there fiancée, aunts, uncle or anybody else for that matter. For those awardees that were in attendance, kudos to you for thinking enough about those that honored you.
