I was disturbed by St. Louis County’s preparation of the old Gumbo Jail for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. It seems to me that we have a lot of vacant Catholic churches, old school buildings and government facilities. I have to wonder why Charlie Dooley was preparing the old jail. Was that the only place that came to mind? Goodness.
