The American constantly depicts Jim Buford as someone who has something to say. He is not. After some violence at Vashon High, Buford was appointed to the school board. He immediately informed the populace: “I knew I would have to do something.” What did he do? After rightfully being booted off the board, he again showed his ignorance and announced: “The angry people voted.” What a poor excuse for a man.
Now comes Buford crying “enough.” Cowardly Buford won’t simply attack Juan Williams, he has to mix oranges and apples by trying to juxtapose the personalities of Williams and Bill Cosby. And he had the gall to complain about disunity. Disunity is a word you can ill afford to use.
Mr. Buford, you should do yourself, your family and decent people everywhere a favor and step down and shut up.
