A lot more people could have got out of the Superdome and New Orleans alive had they not been kept there at gunpoint. Residents and stranded tourists who tried to walk out of town were shot at and driven back into a hellhole where they could easily die of disease, thirst or violence. Meanwhile, fleets of would-be rescuers with trucks of water and medicine were turned away, also at gunpoint.

When our troops drove the men and boys of Fallujah back into a city without water, power or food supplies just before they laid waste to it, just like they’re getting ready to do to Tell Afar, every informed person worldwide admitted that it was a major war crime. How can it not be a war crime when they do it here to our own people?

At least we in St. Louis ought to know now, if we have a major earthquake or WMD attack, just what kind of “help” the National Guard and FEMA have planned for us. The crowds of hungry survivors would be treated as a disease to be contained. To protect your family, store food and water, buy a gun and learn to use it, and know a route out of town that doesn’t depend on major highways and bridges.
