How could anyone compare the recent tragedy caused by Hurricane Katrina to the Holocaust? I feel bad for the people who died due to Katrina, but the Holocaust was a lot worse. I just don’t understand how one could compare the two side by side.
As for the column by Carol Daniels, I like how she put in her article that VERY few people can trace their history back far enough to see if they are descendents of Africans or African slaves. Teaching her child about shackles is wrong. It’s just showing him that white people are evil and that ALL whites kept slaves.
I am white, but I am all for equality. Under the skin, we are all the same. If you are reading this, and you know for a fact that your ancestors were slaves, I feel sorry for you. It was wrong, but people change.
