The current $5.15 minimum wage is a moral outrage. It effectively sentences millions of workers and their families to live in abject poverty, struggling to meet their basic needs.
Fair wages and what we call “family values” are inseparable issues. Parents who are among the “working poor” must often work at two or more jobs in order to make ends meet. These hard working Americans are often unable to find the time or the energy to read to their children, to supervise their after-school activities, to take their children to a house of worship or to volunteer at their children’s schools.

Martin Luther King, Jr. and in the name of all hard-working Americans, the members of All God’s People are asking you to support an increase in the minimum wage.
