Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to publicly congratulate the Vashon boys’ basketball team for their ascension from No. 2 to the top-ranking team in the country.
While attending the school’s athletic events, I have had the opportunity to witness respectful and intelligent young men and women. This all speaks to the holistic aspect of some of the positive things happening at Vashon, especially as students pursue educational enhancement. Much of this must be the work of concerned and dedicated teachers and support staff with essential parental support.
A special thanks and congratulations to Coach Irons and his staff. Congratulations also to our girls’ basketball team and their winning season.
