Three people remain in critical condition after a major accident on Highway 40 yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.
According to investigators, the truck driver didn’t even slam on his brakes.
Charles Cason, 55, of Caseyville, IL and Lydia Miller, 55 of Canton, MO died in that crash.
Altogether, 13 people were injured in the accident.
Three people are in critical condition, two are in serious condition, one person is still being evaluated, three people are in satisfactory condition and one person was treated and released from the hospital.
