St. Louis is one of the areas that will see the creation of jobs because of the 2010 census. The U S Census Bureau will hire thousands of people throughout the region for the six states of Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas between now and next spring. This strong economic shot in the arm is like having a factory open up in each of the region’s states! Up to a total of 35,000 people will be on staff during peak times.

“This is the largest civilian mobilization of workers in the history of the United States” said Dennis Johnson, Regional Director.
