The Greater St. Louis community will gather once again to stand with breast cancer survivors, those living with metastatic breast cancer and the families who support them at the 2026 Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk. The event takes place Saturday, June 6, bringing thousands together to advance Komen’s mission to save lives through research, public policy, education and direct care.

“Komen’s work is not possible without the generous support of people in the Missouri community,” said Megan Hoffman, executive director of Susan G. Komen Missouri and Kansas. “By uniting survivors, people in treatment today, those living with metastatic disease, friends and family members, we can all make a difference in our efforts to detect breast cancers early and improve treatments for all types of breast cancer.”

This year, Komen aims to raise $500,000 — funding that will accelerate breakthroughs in breast cancer research, improve treatment outcomes and provide immediate support to people navigating a diagnosis. Proceeds also help sustain Komen’s Patient Care Center, a trusted resource for timely breast health information and assistance, and the organization’s Center for Public Policy, which works to ensure access to high-quality care at the state and federal levels.

Bank of America serves as the national presenting sponsor. Natera is the national premier sponsor, and Guardant Health, Novartis and Lilly are national series sponsors for the MORE THAN PINK Walk and Race for the Cure events.

The 2026 walk will take place at Westport Plaza. The move marks the event’s second major location shift in recent years. After decades drawing crowds downtown, the walk relocated to Tower Grove Park, where it remained for several years. Organizers say the transition to Westport reflects both logistical needs and the desire to keep the event accessible to participants across the region.

The walk site will open at 7:30 a.m., with survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer gathering near Rawlings Baseball at 8:45 a.m. The opening ceremony begins at 9 a.m., followed by the official start of the walk at 9:30 a.m. Participants can register at komen.org/stlouiswalk.

Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women and 1 in 1,000 men in the U.S. during their lifetime. In 2026, more than 320,000 women nationwide will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer, and nearly 43,000 women will die from the disease. Approximately 2,670 men will be diagnosed, and 530 will die. Experts estimate that one-third of breast cancer deaths could be prevented with universal access to modern treatments.

In Missouri, approximately 6,300 people will be diagnosed this year, and 970 will die from the disease. Komen provided direct support to 409 Missouri patients in fiscal year 2025, including $163,200 in financial assistance for eligible individuals in active treatment or living with metastatic breast cancer.

These numbers underscore why the walk remains such a critical source of support for patients and families across Missouri, and why community participation continues to matter.

“Come out and join us on Walk Day as we unite this community around Komen’s goal of creating a world where we do not lose another life to this disease,” Hoffman said.
