Police released more information Thursday on a fatal stabbing on the property of a church.
A 43-year-old man was stabbed to death about 2 a.m. Thursday during a quarrel on a church yard at North Grand Boulevard and North Market Street, St. Louis police said.
The slain man was identified through his fingerprints on Thursday afternoon, but his name was being withheld until family members could be notified.
Police say a teen and a man were arguing over a money, and the man ran away, jumping a fence onto the property of Sts. Theresa and Bridget Catholic Church, which is near Grand and N. Market in St. Louis. It happened just before two a.m.
The teen, estimated to be about 14 years old, followed the man and stabbed him several times, killing him.
A woman who was with the man escaped unharmed.
