Alderman Kacie Starr Triplett (Ward 6) will participate in a political training program at Yale University. Triplett says the Women’s Campaign School will help her build connections with other leaders across the nation while they learn new and innovative approaches to campaigning. The program is a non-partisan, issue neutral leadership course, whose mission is to increase the number and influence of women in elected and appointed office.

“I’m excited to join other lawmakers and leaders at this summer’s Yale Campaign School,” Triplett said. “The school offers an unparalleled opportunity to learn the skills and strategies essential to modern political campaigns. I know that the training we’ll receive and the relationships we’ll build during the training will benefit our careers for years to come.”

This year’s Women’s Campaign School will be held at Yale Law Shool in New Haven, Connecticut during the week of July 11th. The program was founded in 1993 by author and scholar Andrée Aelion Brooks.

Kacie Starr Triplett has she served as alderman of the 6th Ward since April 2007. She currently represents part of downtown St. Louis and several south St. Louis neighborhoods.
