Better Family Life’s Amnesty program continues this weekend and next week at St. Louis Community College.
On Saturday (March 14) at St. Louis Community College-Forest Park and Wednesday (March 18) at the St. Louis Community College Florissant Valley, Citizens will have the opportunity to receive a voucher that can be taken with $100 to the municipality where their warrant was issued and have the warrant lifted and receive a new court date.
For Child support warrants, St. Louis County, a $500 fee is required with the voucher.
Better Family Life developed and launched the St. Louis Metropolitan Amnesty Project in 2005 as a means to address constituents of the community. Through this first-of-it- kind community service model, citizens are given the opportunity to work with the Community Outreach Department at Better Family Life to re-engage the courts, without fear of arrest.
The Community’s response to BFL’s St. Louis Metropolitan Amnesty Project has been overwhelming and more than 14,000 citizens have been serviced and have benefitted from the program.
Both location will offer vouchers between the hours of 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. For more information, visit www.betterfamilylife.org
