Residents in the Normandy School District community who are interested in serving on the Board of Education may file for two-three year term seats beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, December 13 at the district’s administrative offices located at 3855 Lucas and Hunt Rd.
The school board election will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012.
Candidate filings will be accepted during normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The last day for filing is Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 5 p.m. Filing will not occur on days that the district’s offices are closed due to inclement weather or during its winter break which occurs from December 22, 2011 to January 2, 2012.
Each candidate must provide a written letter of declaration of candidacy. Missouri law requires a person be a United States citizen, at least 24 years of age, a resident taxpayer of the district and to have resided in the state for one year immediately preceding the election.
