According to KMOV.com, St. Louis police are investigating an overnight crash that damaged the Fox Theatre.
Police say around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday a white SUV was traveling eastbound on Washington and a black SUV was traveling southbound on Grand when the two collided. Both drivers claim the other ran a red light.
The black SUV clipped the front of the white SUV before driving up onto the sidewalk and taking out a light pole. The vehicle continued over the sidewalk and slammed into the front of the Fox Theatre, damaging the marble facade and shattering a large display window.
Two women from the black SUV were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The southbound lanes of Grand were shut down while crews cleaned up debris and towed the black SUV from the front of the theatre.
The crash shattered a window to the theatre and damaged some marble.
