Charter Communications is in the process of making massive channel changes and customers will need to reprogram DVR recording in case their favorite shows have moved to a different channel.

Charter is organizing the channel lineup to make it easier for customers to find their favorite channels as well as add 28 new HD channels.

Charter began making changes to customers on April 11 and the process will continue through April 24. Due to the changes, Charter recommends customers reprogram all DVR series recording with the new channel location prior to the roll out date. Charter will roll out the new HD channels and revised channel locations by community as follows:

Wednesday, April 18: Farmington, MO; Cape Girardeau, MO; Sikeston, MO; Florissant, MO; Ferguson, MO; Jennings, MO

Thursday, April 19: St. Louis City, MO; Overland, MO; St. Charles, MO

Saturday, April 21: Barnhart, MO; Olivette, MO (also includes suburban cities near St. Louis metro that are not specifically mentioned but have Charter service such as Chesterfield, MO; Ballwin, MO; Town and Country, MO; Manchester, MO; Creve Coeur, MO; Kirkwood, MO; etc)

Tuesday, April 24: Breese, IL; Belleville, IL; Cahokia, IL; Scott Air Force Base, IL; East St. Louis, IL; Centralia, IL; Mt. Vernon, IL
