The incumbent St. Louis County Executive has been defeated in Tuesday’s primary.
St. Louis County Councilman Steve Stenger defeated St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley in the Democratic Primary Tuesday night.
According to the St. Louis County Board of Elections, Stenger was ahead of Dooley 69 percent to 28 percent with ore the 85 percent of the precincts reporting.
Stenger will face Republican Rick Stream, Libertarian Theo Bown Sr. and Constitution member Joe Passanise in the November general election.
