What type of development is occurring in the City of St. Louis, as well as, who benefits from this development will be the topic of a discussion at a free public forum put on by the St. Louis Chapter of the Missouri Association for Social Welfare (MASW).

Many different groups are committed to re-developing the City, each with a different perspective of how to best do it. Through this panel, MASW is giving many different voices an opportunity to speak on this important issue.

The event, which will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 12 p.m. at the

Highlands in Forest Park, is free and open to the public. There will be a buffet lunch available for purchase for $10. The panel will include Paul McKee, McEagle Corporation, Rodrick Jones, Gracehill Settlement Association, Sean Thomas, Old North St. Louis Restoration Group, and Fr. Rich Creason, Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Christine Woody, Eastern Chapter Coordinator for MASW says, “It is our hope that this forum can inform and educate area citizens about this important issue, and offer a place for constructive dialogue.”
