A clean-shaven Michael Devlin pleaded not guilty in the abduction of Shawn Hornbeck Monday.

Devlin appeared at his arraignment through closed-circuit television. Instead of being in the courtroom, he was in the Washington County jail for the arraignment, as the judge addressed him through the television set up.

Devlin was transferred from the Franklin County jail to the Washington County jail for the arraignment Monday. It was the first time Devlin had left the Franklin County jail since his arrest January 12th.

Police were searching for 13-year-old Ben Ownby, who had been missing for 4 days, when they first began to suspect Devlin. When they entered his apartment, they also found Shawn Hornbeck, who had been missing for 4 years.

Devlin did not appear to show any emotion as the judge read the kidnapping and other charges against him.

He also faces charges in Franklin County and St. Louis County, as well as other federal charges.
