An early morning accident on interstate 70 north of Downtown St. Louis has claimed the life of a motorist.
According to KMOV.com, St. Louis Metropolitan Police and Fire Departments responded to a single vehicle accident on the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 near Adelaide around 2:30am.
Emergency crews found a single occupant of the vehicle deceased as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
Interstate 70 westbound was closed between Grand and Adelaide early this morning for an investigation and cleanup of the accident scene.
The cause of the accident and the driver’s identity are yet to be released.
