The East St. Louis woman accused of killing her two children will be extradited back to the Metro East this week to face those charges.
Yokeia Smith, of East St. Louis, was charged last week with first-degree murder.
Police said she killed her four-year-old and five-year-old children Wednesday night and then drove to St. Louis where she hit two pedestrians with her car. An eight-year-old boy who was also in the house escaped the attack and is staying with relatives.
Smith was arrested in St. Louis outside of KMOX studios while she was allegedly holding a shotgun. She was taken into custody and has been jailed in St. Louis since her arrest.
