Today (Mon., May 18), The Supreme Court of Missouri has ordered that Reginald Clemons will be executed on June 17th 2009.

Clemons was sentenced to death for the 1991 murder of two young women who drowned after plunging from the Chain of Rocks Bridge into the Mississippi River.

He has been on death row since his 1993 conviction for the Chain of Rocks Bridge tragedy. Many significant and troubling questions linger about who actually committed the crime for which Reggie was convicted.

Clemons’ original 1997 execution date was stayed.

Marlin Gray, one of the Chain of Rocks codefendants, was executed on October 27, 2005, at 12:07 AM, by the State of Missouri.
