Authorities are reporting that federal officials are investigating after someone threw an explosive device at the Robert A. Young federal building in downtown St. Louis early Monday morning.

According to KMOV.com, officials report the incident happened around 1 a.m. in the 1200 block of Spruce Street. The building the device was thrown at houses several government agencies, including Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Coast Guard, and the Army Corps of Engineers.

According to authorities, the device landed on the sidewalk outside the building and exploded. No injuries were reported and there was very little damage done.

The device was said to have appeared to be similar to a “Molotov cocktail,” but has not been confirmed by investigators.
