George Zimmerman is once again attempting to be released on bail. Zimmerman’s attorney told the judge that he’s not a threat and isn’t at flight risk. Attorney Mark O’Mara cited that his client stayed in contact with authorities during his initial release on bail.

A judge will consider the motion at a second hearing at the end of the week.

Zimmerman currently awaits trial as he’s been charged with second degree murder of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin who was unarmed. Prosecution suggests he shot the teen during a confrontation in a gated community in Sanford, Fla.

Zimmerman pleaded not guilty, claiming self-defense based on the Florida “Stand Your Ground” law.

His wife was recently charged for lying in court regarding the couple’s funds after it was discovered that Zimmerman had raised at least $135,000 by way of his website though the couple had claimed financial hardship.
