With the high humidity yesterday, the temperature of mid 90’s felt like mid-100’s according to the heat index.
According to the National Weather service, the heat will come and go over the weekend and return with a vengance next week.
The National Weather Service is keeping the Heat Advisory in effect through 7pm this evening for the counties around St. Louis, St. Louis City, and areas to the southeast.
Citizens are asked to use caution when outdoors. Drink lots of water, sit down in the shade or go into air conditioning if possible. Wear lightweight, light colored clothes.
Make sure those that are affected the most are taken care of like the elderly.
