The suspended superintendent of the Riverview Gardens School District in suburban St. Louis is released from custody after posting bond.

Henry Williams turned himself in Monday morning at the St. Louis County Justice Center in Clayton. He posted $5,000 cash and was released. He faces a court date of May 7th.

Williams faces charges of felony theft and tax evasion. Prosecutor Robert McCulloch says one theft count involves more than $100,000 that Williams took from the district.
