Legal Services of Eastern Missouri (LSEM) will host the 7th Annual Heschel-King Awards Celebration of Jews United for Justice from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 15. The celebration will be held at LSEM’s St. Louis headquarters, 4232 Forest Park Avenue.
Judge Richard B. Teitelman and Judge Ronnie White are the two recipients of this year’s awards. The award honors individuals form the St. Louis Jewish and African-American communities who work together for Civil Rights in the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel.
Judge Teitelman, who served as LSEM’s executive director and general counsel from 1980 to 1998, is a judge for the Supreme Court of Missouri. Judge White is a former Supreme Court of Missouri judge, and is a partner at Holloran White Schwartz & Gaertner, LLP.
