Three high school students are in custody in connection with a metro east shooting earlier this week.
All of the teens arrested are juniors at East St. Louis Senior High School.
On Monday night, two teens were shot Monday night near Lovejoy Elementary School in Brooklyn, Ill.
The victims are the 10th grade grandson of Lovejoy Academy principal Catherine Calvert and a 7th grade student at Lovejoy Middle School.
Those arrested have not yet been charged. The three were all in class Thursday morning when Brooklyn police took them into custody.
East St. Louis School District officials said no students were in danger when the arrests were made.
