Star boxing trainer Kevin Cunningham is celebrating the Grand Opening of the new Knockouts Bar & Grill this weekend at 11208 West Florissant Ave. in Clock Tower Plaza.
The party begins with live music by Will Robertson Friday night and continues Saturday night as the pugilist professor welcomes in all fight fans with the Manny Pacquiao vs Chris Algieri boxing PPV. Soul Food Sundays will cap off the fun-filled opening weekend of events.
The state-of-the-art bar and grill boasts 46 televisions, three pool tables, three dart boards, a DJ booth, stage and impressive lighting system according to Cunningham.
Cunningham’s goal is provide a quality, fun-filled sports bar experience for North County.
“I think this community deserves a bar and grill that’s run on a national chain level,” Cunningham said. “It should be no different coming to Knockouts that going to J. Bucks, ShowMe’s or HotShots or other national chains. It’s run first-class.”
The Knockouts menu consists of traditional fare you’d find in a sports bar. Wings, pizzas, burgers, pastas, steaks are just a few of the foods prepared by the bar and grill’s in house chefs.
While Cunningham promises the food will be tasty, he understands the atmosphere is just as important to the overall experience.
“We’ll have all the major sporting events, including the NFL package, the NBA package, great food, great drinks and a great time!” Cunningham told The American.
Of course, he’s most excited about providing boxing fans with an affordable place to watch all the big fights instead of spending $70+ for every pay per view fight.
“They definitely want to come see the fight with the fight man. We’re happy to fill that void in St. Louis,” Cunningham stated.
Knockouts Bar & Grill will be open seven days per week. Hours for the first month will be 4:00 pm until 1:30 a.m. Mondays through Saturdays. Sunday hours will be 1:00 pm until midnight. Additional lunch hours will be added in the near future.
