Several downtown streets are currently blocked off after The Laclede Gas building (7th and Olive) in caught fire this morning (Fri., Apr. 23).
The three-alarm blaze was said to have started an hour ago (8 a.m.) and was reported to be on the 15th floor. Authorities are said to have the fire under control.
Employees were evacuated to Kiener Plaza. One person is being treated for smoke inhalation.
Police and fire authorities blocked off numerous streets in the downtown area.
