The lockdown at Beaumont High School is over after officials searched the school and didn’t find any weapons.
St. Louis Public School officials said a14-year-old freshman brought hunting ammunition to the school Wednesday morning
The school went into lockdown, which is standard procedure when contraband is found.
The student involved claimed the ammunition came from his mother’s boyfriend.
The student was not arrested, but will be sent to an alternative school, according to Deborah Sistrunk with the SLPS District.
