At about 7:20 p.m. Monday in the 4900 block of Harney Avenue, in the city’s Mark Twain neighborhood, a man was shot and killed. Police identified the victim as Barry Billups, 43, who lived in the 5300 block of Kingshighway.
Police say a witness heard a single gunshot and then saw Billups stagger out of the alley and onto the sidewalk, where he collapsed.
According to police, he was shot in the right side. He was pronounced dead on the scene. So far, no arrests have been made.
