The manhunt that was underway this morning for an assailant suspected of assaulting a police officer has disbanded .
Investigators spent the morning searching for a man they say stabbed a Berkeley police officer in the arm.
The officer was taken to the hospital.
No word yet on his condition.
Police vehicles lined part of Interstate 70 near Hanley and North Florissant while officers looked for the suspect. There were no immediate details on what led to the assault on the officer, who was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police were on the scene at Interstate I-70 and Hanley all morning, but have now cleared the scene.
There has been no word as to whether or not the suspect is in custody.
