Greetings everyone! Yes, this year is moving quickly. I hope everyone enjoyed our mild Saint Louis winter. Here are a few happenings.
Buckeye Nation, “The Ohio State University” has signed a third Elliott Family athlete. Aaliyah Elliott, affectionately known as “Flea” hosted her signing day at John Burroughs School in December 2023. Born to a family of athletes, Aaliyah is a track and field star who was recruited by most of the top 10 universities.Siblings Ezekiel Elliott and Lailah Elliott also attended The John Burroughs School and The Ohio State University. Ezekiel went on to the NFL and has excelled as a running back for the Dallas Cowboys and the New England Patriots. Lailah is a third-year law school student at SMU in Dallas. Aaliyah’s coaches, friends and family attended “Signing Reveal” at John Burroughs School. Several family and friends cheering Aaliyah on included proud Mom and Dad, Dawn Elliott and Stacy Elliott, Grandmother Patricia Lee, sister Lailah Elliott, Adrienne Hawkins, Halle Woodard, Coaches Daniel Harris and David Harris and faculty members and classmates. Guests enjoyed the after school gathering and a yummy Buckeye cake prepared by McArthur’s Bakery (South County) and delicious Burroughs monogrammed cookies baked by Amber Tomlin, Bebe’s Bake Shoppe (Florissant).
Look who is 102 years young and still celebrating with family and friends! Our
January born centenarian Dr. Mary Ellen Anderson celebrated with family and a
few friends including her sons and “daughter in loves, Dale and Susie Anderson, John and Karen Anderson, cousin Rock, Dianne Powell, and Marion Robinson. The beautiful birthday cake was designed by Reine Keis, proprietor SweetArt Bakery and Café (South St. Louis). Mary Ellen’s favorite!
A visit to the new St. Louis Club! Club member Krishna Walker entertained
friends while taking a staycation last month. The recently christened club is in the
new Centene building at Clayton and Hanley Rds.in Clayton, MO. The more
formal location was previously housed in the Pierre Laclede building two blocks away. Members seem to be pleased with the modern state-of-the-art venue. Gone are the breathtaking rooftop views but the new space is wonderful. Fabulous floral arrangements designed by Tony Montano (BUDS also located in Clayton) are sprinkled throughout. Friends enjoying great company and food with Krishna included: Lisl King Williams Watkins, Joyce Price, Esther Beeks, Lynn Kennedy, Ingrid Taylor, Lauren Ming, Gail Allmon, and Akella Wicker. It was a lovely evening.
